Targeted Anti-Adhesion Mechanism
Uropathogenic E. coli rely on hair-like projections called P-fimbriae to lock onto specific carbohydrate receptors on uroepithelial cells. The active Type-A Proanthocyanidins (PACs) contained in CRAN'BEY® bind directly to these bacterial fimbriae. This steric blocking prevents adhesion, rendering the bacteria incapable of colonizing the urinary tract so they can be safely flushed away via normal urination.
